My visit to Slovenia this year was a whistle-stop tour of different regions. I started at our friends Chris and Hanna’s near Podsreda; Chis took me to a nature reserve near Koper, to a flower-rich escarpment on the edge of the Karst and to Goriška Brda. Then to Goričko Landscape Park in the northeast, staying as the only guest in Grad castle, where I made new friends and attended the launch of an orchid photograph and painting display. From there to Logarska Dolina, close to the Austrian border where we held the 2025 Andina ecology workshop, then finally to Kozjansko Regional Park in the east. The photos are not in chronological or regional order!
